School FAQs
Yes, one must be a Commonwealth of Virginia resident to complete the Elementary Ed or Special Ed BA, BA/MEd, MAT, or MEd degrees that lead to licensure.
Students seeking teacher licensure may complete practicums in an accredited school. Student teaching must be conducted in an accredited school in the Commonwealth of Virginia. All activities, competencies, and standards that are addressed in each experience must apply to Commonwealth of Virginia guidelines.
Our programs provide teaching licenses for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Yes, all of our ABA programs meet curricular requirements for students pursuing examination eligibility through 鈥淧athway 2鈥 (behavior analytic coursework).

No; students who are pursuing board credentials complete fieldwork requirements independently, and most often 鈥渙n the job.鈥 The program is happy to provide guidance to students who may be seeking appropriate employment that will meet fieldwork requirements; additionally, students in the MS in ABA program do receive coursework on experiential and practice skills as part of their degree requirements. ABA fieldwork is not a program requirement to successfully complete any of our ABA offerings but is required for board examination eligibility.
