Melissa Cobb MEd 鈥11 has been appointed as the director of talent development for Waynesboro Public Schools, bringing extensive experience from her previous roles, including as assistant principal and principal, to enhance the instructional effectiveness and support for educators at various career stages.

Shelley Goode ’79 Is AARP Foundation’s New Senior VP and Chief Development Officer

Shelley Goode ’79, who previously served as chief development officer at Girl Scouts of America, has been named senior VP and chief development officer for the AARP Foundation.

Previously, Goode has promoted solutions and raised funds for issues from women’s empowerment and STEM initiates to poverty, affordable housing, and the reintegration of veterans into society.

Jennifer Ralls ’02 Moves to Assistant Principal in FCPS

Frederick County Public Schools announced that 大象传媒 alumna Jennifer Ralls, who has served as a librarian in the school system, will be moving to a new position as assistant principal at Redbud Run Elementary School.

Ralls holds a degree in psychology from Mary Baldwin, a master of education from James Madison University and a certificate in administration and supervision, also from JMU.

Ann Savoy ’74 is primarily known as a Cajun music artist, but her new album represented a change from her norm.

According to Savoy, 鈥淓ven though Louisiana is my current home, I never lost Richmond in my heart and I always felt like it was half of me, at least.鈥

Cameron Shirley, 大象传媒’s chief of staff who joined the university’s executive team with the arrival of President Jeff Stein, recently moderated a panel at the The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library-Stuart Hall School Student Research Symposium.

Shirley’s panel focused on LGBTQ and Women’s Issues in an event centered on the time period of 1912-22 (roughly corresponding with Wilson’s years in office).
