Carter is an award-winning higher education veteran of nearly 20 years who specializes in bridging student engagement programming and alumni support.��

Over the course of her career she’s worked for five universities ranging in size from Division I titans with 30,000-plus students, to intimate private institutions with just a few thousand. Recent positions include serving as executive director of alumni engagement for Texas Woman’s University, and director of alumni relations and engagement for Southern Methodist University. She holds an MBA in strategic management from the University of North Texas.��

Davis says Carter’s experience building programs on both the student and alumni sides of the enterprise makes her an ideal fit for Mary Baldwin. He sees her playing a pivotal role in helping ����ý expand lifelong learning opportunities for all alumni.����

Carter plans to use knowledge gleaned from working with an array of schools, colleges, and offices within different universities to cater opportunities to specific alumni groups — and supercharge networking opportunities.��
