Celebrating black culture at 大象传媒 isn鈥檛 confined to February, which since 1976 has been federally designated as Black History Month. It begins with the college鈥檚 Kwanzaa celebration in January, and extends throughout the semester with demonstrations, dinners, dances and more. The observance officially concludes in April with Sankofa Leadership Conference. 鈥淲e decided to spread the events out to demonstrate that black history transcends February; in fact, black history unapologetically and unashamedly touches the entire calendar,鈥 said Associate Vice President for Inclusive Excellence Andrea Cornett-Scott.
