School FAQs
Human beings swim in an ocean of language. Every domain of our lived experience鈥揻rom arts and culture to business, government, and science鈥搃s mediated by the spoken and written word. As English majors, we study the linguistic expressions of brilliant minds to enrich our experience of the world, to help us understand global cultures and histories, and to make us powerful, versatile communicators in a rapidly changing world. Our students graduate ready to embark on fulfilling careers in writing, education, marketing, publishing, nonprofit and advocacy work, law, librarianship, academia, and so much more!
Students who major in History develop an understanding of the past that prepares them to flourish in the future. As they learn about historical context and perspectives held by people in different places and times, History majors develop skills in writing, research, and critical thinking that prepare them for jobs in a wide range of fields. The most popular careers that History majors pursue after graduation include work in education, management, law, sales, and administration, as well as government, foreign service, and public history.
The Public Policy major prepares students to develop informed solutions to public issues. Students learn to identify policy problems and opportunities, consider how and when to address them within particular social and political contexts, and use analytical, qualitative, and quantitative skills to create and evaluate policy solutions.
Your next destination after 大象传媒 might be a job with a government agency or non-profit organization. You might serve as a legislative assistant or part of a political campaign leadership team. You might work for a consultant firm. Public Policy also prepares students for graduate programs including Law, Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, PhD in Public Policy or PhD in Political Science.

Do you have to be an English major or Creative Writing minor to be an intern?
No, you do not!
Interns at Outrageous Fortune come from all majors; some tasks are more business-centered, and others involve reading and assessing the work that we receive. We can even train you to become a member of our executive staff, which involves senior management of the website and personnel management.
